I have been using and reviewing multiple roach-killing products throughout my blog writing journey. Many products such as roach spray or gel baits do an excellent job at getting rid of roaches. Cockroach traps have two types,
- Roach Trappers (Mainly Bait Stations): Poison cockroaches and helps kill them and their colony.
- Sticky Roach Glue Traps: Physically trap the cockroaches and starve them to death. These baits have sticky glue that often becomes useless after 14 days.
However, I think that sticky roach traps work best when you have a heavy roach infestation (to decrease the colony) or when you need to confirm whether your house is infested with roaches or not.

Cockroach traps kill roaches by physically trapping them and starving them to death or making them consume a chemical bait that cockroaches eat and carry to their colony, killing them also.
The good thing about roach traps is that most of them do not smell bad, nor have the danger of pet or child poisoning because the chemical is confined inside the container.
For traps to work, all you have to do is place the cockroach traps inside the cockroach hiding places like the bathroom and cupboard and wait for the miracle to work.

Hot Shot liquid Cockroach Trapper is my personal favorite, and I consider it the best roach bait trap on the market. I found the bait stations to be extremely attractive to roaches.
Once cockroaches visited the bait traps, they consumed the chemical and water placed inside the bait station. The next day, I found plenty of dead roaches around my corridor and kitchen cabinets.
Moreover, the cockroaches also carry the bait to their colony and share it with their peers, killing the colony. I found that Hot Shot was moderately successful at destroying eggs (Eggs that stay attached to roaches like the German cockroach).

2. Combat Max 12 Month Roach Killing Bait
Combat Max is a trusted and the top brand for killing roaches using insecticide sprays. However, it is second only to Hotshot roach baits when it comes to their bait station traps.
This is because Combat Max roach killing baits have fipronil that instantly kills roaches leaving no time to share the bait with their peers. That is why it is inferior to other products when killing the roach colony.
However, the good thing about Combat Max 12 month Roach killing bait is that it keeps working for longer than any other roach trap in its league (12 Months). Therefore, it doesn’t need to be replaced like other roach trap baits.

3. Raid Double Control, Large Roach Baits
Raid large roach bait is the last trapper with bait that I find worthy of listing in my top roach trap products. The good thing about this product is that, like Combat Max, it also needs not to be replaced too often. Moreover, it has not had a fast-acting killer, so it helps kill the whole roach colony.
I recommend this product when you do not have naughty pets or children around the house because the smell from the roach trap might attract pets and children and cause poisoning if consumed. However, with efficacy, it has no match.

4. Catchmaster Pest Trap
This product is a cheap alternative to other products and is chemical-free. All it contains is a strong adhesive and a peanut butter scent. The Catchmaster trap works by physically trapping the pests due to adhesiveness and is so strong that it can even catch mice and other big bugs.
I found it very easy to use with some good results. I peeled it off and placed it in multiple places across the house, especially around areas where cockroaches hide.
After a few days, the traps were full of cockroaches and other small bugs. However, it failed to work under the sink and at places where water was present. Moreover, the adhesiveness was lost after 14 days.

5. Tysonir Roach Trap
Among the best roach sticky traps, Tysonir has successfully made its place. Tysonir roach trap has an excellent safety profile among other roach traps because it only contains corn starch, Brown sugar, and flavor enhancers.
Moreover, It is made of disposable cardboard and so is environmentally friendly. Finally, once the roach trap is set, it has a unique design that allows the cockroaches to move in but does not allow them to escape.
One thing that I liked about the Tysonir Roach trap is that its glue stayed sticky for longer than any other roach trap. It also worked in places where there was water because the lid covering didn’t allow water to move in.

6. Victor Roach Trap
Victor Roach Trap is different from other sticky traps because it uses the power of sense to attract and then kill roaches. Cockroaches communicate with each other through pheromones, and victor uses this technique to attract roaches.
The trap releases pheromones that lure cockroaches and other insects. Once the cockroaches get inside the trap, the adhesive glue never lets them move out and starves them.
I would have placed Victor as the best sticky roach trap, but the high price kept me from giving it the top position. Moreover, I personally felt that the pheromones started to fade after only 3 to 4 days of use.
